Please complete this form to be considered for the Mississippi Library Commission (MLC) Public Library Symposium. This event is for current and recently graduated University of Southern Mississippi MLIS students to present their master’s capstone project.
MLIS students who have submitted a capstone project focused on public librarianship are welcome to submit for inclusion.
A panel of MLC staff will review proposals to accept six submissions for panel presentations in the main meeting room at MLC. Priority will be given to Mississippi residents, but all are welcome to apply. At this time, virtual presentations will not be considered.
Up to four submissions for gallery poster sessions will be accepted.
With the permission of presenters, presentations will be recorded and shared on the MLC YouTube channel.
DEADLINE: February 10, 2024
If selected, MLC will provide lunch on the day of the symposium and if needed, a hotel room for in-person panel presenters and poster presenters only.
