According to the American Library Association, “Special libraries can serve particular populations, such as the blind and physically handicapped, while others are dedicated to special collections, such as the Library of Congress or a presidential library.” This list may not be inclusive of all special libraries and information centers in the state of Mississippi. If your organization provides traditional library services (loaning books and resources, research assistance, computer and internet access, programming, etc) or services that are similar and you believe you should be included on this list, please contact Alex Brower at abrower@mlc.lib.ms.us with an overview of the services you offer and a link to your webpage, if available.
